Get involved as a LINKES volunteer!
Volunteers are an essential part of LINKES and make a huge contribution to the work we do, our success and the impact we have in the local community.
From play schemes to office admin, helping out with events to working with one of the varied community groups, there are many different volunteering opportunities available from one-off activities to regular weekly activities.
Through our work with the Glasgow West Area Volunteer Experience (WAVE) – a joint project between LINKES, the Dumbarton Road Corridor Environment Trust and DRC Generations – we can also access volunteer opportunities across a wider area, so there’s something for everyone.
You can find local volunteering opportunities on the WAVE online map, which shows other local organisations in the North West of Glasgow that offer volunteering opportunities. To view the map just click on the link below:
You might also want to have a look at the Volunteer Glasgow website, where you can find information about volunteering in general and even more volunteering opportunities across Glasgow.

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and make a difference in your local community. If you’re keen to help out but aren’t able to commit to regular activities there’s lots of ways you can still get involved – LINKES runs a series of events throughout the year from ceilidhs to Christmas parties where a helping hand is always welcome.
Interested? Then please get in touch with us. You don’t need to commit yourself straight away, just contact us or drop in for an informal chat or more information on volunteering.
